Kerbside Recycling Collections

Recycling boxOur kerbside recycling service called Box-It! is collected once a fortnight. Find out which day to put your boxes out for collection.

Please note the following town and villages are operated under Furniture Now!:

Lewes, Ringmer, Kingston, Glynde, Cooksbridge, Chiltington, East Chiltington, Offham, Iford, Swanborough, Southerham, Barcombe (not Barcombe Cross or Barcombe Mills), Hamsey, and Upper Wellingham.

Select your town and/or road name to find out what day of the week your box will be collected.

Tips: Select your town and then only a section of your road name. e.g. if you lived in Eastern Road, enter ‘east’. You may also leave the road box empty to show full town listings. If you are unsure of the town, select n/a and just use the road box.

Missed collection

Before you report a missed box please check that: .

  • Your collection day is correct
  • Your box was out from 8.30 am on the day of collection;
  • Your box contains the correct recyclables;
  • Your box was on the edge of your property in a clearly visible location (unless you have already qualified for a back door collection due to your disability or as an elderly person)
  •  Your recyclables were properly contained (e.g. not left loose on the pavement)
  • Access to your box was clear

If all of the above apply, you can report to us by contacting Customer Services giving the location details or use the fault reporting system.

Your box will be collected if we establish it was overlooked by us. We will endeavour to collect it within 2 working days of it being reported.

We would not normally phone you back following your report of a missed box. However if your box was repeatedly missed we may phone you in order to establish the cause.

The box is classed as 'repeatedly missed' if this has happened more than once in the last 2 months and was deemed to be an oversight on our part.

Bank holiday service

Bank and Public Holidays unfortunately do affect collections. However, our crews work accordingly to ensure normal service resumes as soon as possible following disruptions.
