Waste & Recycling
Lewes District Council
Due to a minor incident with our kerbside recycling collection vehicle this morning, the residents in the Barcombe area may need to leave their kerbside boxes out for another day. We will endeavour to collect it by the end of this week.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
New online form for residents requiring assisted collection for refuse or kerbside recycling.
Search for your kerbside collection day and download a calendar to see all of your collections for 2014/15
Our Box-It! kerbside recycling scheme collects sorted items for recycling from your house once a fortnight.
On collection day, please put your boxes and bags together on the pavement in front of your property. It may not always be possible to give you back the same boxes each time after they are emptied due to our collection methods.
Please enter your street name and town and then click on Search.
To report a missed kerbside recycling collection to us, please see the following page for further information:
If you are elderly, infirm or disabled and do not have any family members or friends who can help you to put out your refuse or kerbside recycling or both, you can apply for an assisted collection online.
This means our collection staff will be able to collect your waste from a location at your property that is more suitable for your situation, as normally your rubbish must be placed at the front boundary of your property for collection.
