Why isn't a companion pass valid outside of Lewes District?Contact UsTel: 01273 471600 , Minicom: 01273 484488, Email: lewesdc@lewes.gov.ukYou can visit us at: 32 High Street, Lewes, East Sussex, BN7 2LX Companion passes are not part of the national scheme, they are a discretion that Councils fund. Existing passes will continue to be funded but no new ones are being issued. Because the Council whose area a journey commences in pays for the costs of that journey, there would need to be complex reciprocal arrangements between Councils to enable the arrangements to work. This is an issue that we will raise with the Sussex Scheme Administrators. |
