Local Development Scheme

The Local Development Scheme (LDS) is a document that sets out the programme for the preparation of planning policy documents.

In February 2012, Lewes District Council approved and adopted a Revised Local Development Scheme (LDS).  This replaces the LDS that was adopted in April 2009.  The February 2012 version of the LDS can be viewed below:

It is worth noting that as a result of changes to the planning system, Lewes District Council was not required to submit this LDS to the Secretary of State.  Instead the LDS was recommended for approval at a Cabinet meeting on the 8th February and subsequently adopted at the Full Council meeting on the 20th February.
