Planning & Building Control

We are responsible for approving development within the district. Our Planning team advise and enforce planning laws alongside our Planning Committee. Our Building Control team ensure buildings are safe and built to standard. See how we’ve performed and our future aims.

All Planning Applications received from 1st April 2012 that are within the South Downs National Park area will only be available to view on the park's website. We will continue to process the applications but they will no longer appear here. These applications will also be subject to changes regarding payee details for planning fees.
