Registration is now open for Artwave, the annual visual arts festival taking place this summer across Lewes, Seaford and surrounding rural areas.

Organised by Lewes District Council, over 100 houses, studios, gardens and galleries will be opening their doors to the public, giving visitors the opportunity to meet the artists, see how and where they work, buy art direct and take part in workshops and events. The festival will run over three weekends, from 19th August to 3rd September.

Artwave is not a curated festival and there are no specific criteria for taking part. This makes it an inclusive, accessible and diverse festival experience for participants and visitors, where established artists and makers exhibit alongside the up and coming, the crafters and hobbyists. The event attracts around 49,000 visitors to the area and brings in an estimated £1.7m into the district. Last year over 120 open houses, studios and galleries took part, with over 400 artists and makers involved.

The deadline for entries is 8th April.
