Training for licensed trade employees to identify and report child sexual exploitation
Child sexual exploitation (CSE) is an increasingly high profile issue that affects children and young people of all backgrounds and from all communities, right across the UK.
Evidence shows that people working in licensed trades such as taxi drivers, hotel staff, bar staff are well placed to identify and report where CSE is taking place.
Local Authorities in Sussex including Hastings Borough Council, Eastbourne Borough Council, Lewes District Council and Rother District Council and Wealden District Council have joined together to provide training sessions to be held at the American Express Community Stadium in Falmer (Brighton).
Anyone involved in the licensing trade or the hospitality industry is invited to attend.
The training sessions will last two to three hours and will be provided on:
- Tuesday 21 February at 10am
- Tuesday 21 February at 2pm
- Wednesday 22 February at 10am
- Wednesday 22 February at 2pm
Should you wish to attend please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01273 471600 and ask to speak to the Licensing team.
