Wave Leisure Training Academy – Apprenticeship Scheme
Wave Leisure Trust Ltd manages eight facilities on behalf of Lewes District Council, East Sussex County Council and in partnership with Seaford Head School, Ringmer Community College, Priory School and Newhaven Town Council.
More recently in May 2015 Wave took on responsibility for managing Newhaven Fort, a Heritage site and tourist attraction – a destination providing an educational environment for all the family with stunning views of the South Coast.
Wave have operated an Apprenticeship scheme for the last few years and they are now looking to develop this further by increasing the number of apprentices they take on each year. Their apprenticeship scheme provides work-based learning opportunities and through their partnerships with Swim UK and Albion in the Community - their recognised training partners, there will be the opportunity for “off the job training” as well. Apprenticeships are an excellent way of gaining nationally recognised qualifications within the leisure industry and provide learners with a valuable workplace experience, gaining the practical skills required within the workplace environment.
If you know of anyone who is aged 16 or over and wants to find out more about how to apply they should contact Nicola Nicholas, Head of Human Resources, 01323 493063 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest.
