Council Office Maintenance Work
Customers are advised refurbishment work is taking place at our offices in 4 Fisher Street, Lewes causing disruption to our reception area.
Essential maintenance will be taking place between 25 January and 17 March. It is affecting the reception area used for council tax, benefits and housing enquiries.
It is likely there will be longer waiting times than usual and a smaller space with very limited access to a private interview room.
As a result we will be operating a restricted service for emergency or urgent queries only.
To assist us, we are advising customers to telephone us via our central switchboard, 01273 471600, or post documents rather than visit in person, unless it is essential to see someone.
We apologise for the inconvenience during this disruption and thank you for your assistance.
