AbseilingLewes District Council has installed drilled and fixed anchorage points for abseiling on the cliffs at Peacehaven Heights. Abseiling down the cliffs for charitable fundraising is permitted subject to conditions requiring supervision by appropriately experienced, equipped and insured leaders. An inspection of the area will take place in March/April each year with representatives of English Nature and RSPB to assess whether there are any breeding pairs of birds nesting in the immediate vicinity. If nesting birds are not present abseiling may take place between May and October.
