Public ArtSupported public art installations across the County. In the Lewes District, ‘Align’ by Esther Rolinson, a glass and animated light sequence was installed in the entrance steps of Lewes Library. Developed Guidelines for local authorities, developers and others for commissioning public art. (Please see link below for further information) Published a leaflet showing the diversity of recent public art projects in East Sussex.
Young People and Contemporary CulturePromoted the first East Sussex Youth Arts Festival – ‘Access All Areas’ in 2006 which celebrated the creative talents of the young people of East Sussex. ‘Access All Areas’ is now an annual event which will take places this year on 19th – 21st October 2007, at the De La Warr Pavillion, Bexhill-on-Sea. (See link below for further information and to download a copy of the programme) Spoken and Written Word‘Word County’ a two year programme of events across East Sussex bringing local people and professional writers together through performance and workshops Community TouringCommissioned a new piece of outdoor theatre ‘Elise Piddock Skips in Her Sleep’ for family audiences. We are developing an on-line box office that festivals and small promoters can use to sell tickets for their events.
