This is provided over a variable timescale according to the need based on consultation with the residents of individual blocks. The minimum standard as agreed with the tenant consultative panel is one visit every 28 days. Many blocks however enjoy more than the minimum requirement. Resident Caretakers There are 3 estates that have resident caretakers. • Landport Estate, Lewes (thirty hours only) If you want details of duties and responsibilities and for reporting problems please contact Bob Ward. Dust bins/wheelie bins/ Euro bins are provided for tenants in blocks of flats. Tenants are reminded that all household rubbish should be placed in plastic bags before putting in communal bins. Please ensure that these areas are kept clean and tidy. For information on the disposal of bulk rubbish. Responsibilities of Tenants and Leaseholders regarding Communal Areas Most blocks have door entry systems and it is the responsibility of the tenant or leaseholder to ensure that these doors are kept locked at all times for security. Access should never be allowed to unknown people as this may invalidate insurances. Tenants and leaseholders share the responsibility of keeping all the public areas clean and tidy. The services provided by the caretaker or contract cleaner is to ensure that a reasonable standard of cleanliness is maintained at all times. |
