Joining a Housing Association

If you want to rent a property you must apply direct to a housing association or private landlord.

Private landlords usually advertise their available properties when they become available to move into.

To apply to a housing association you will need to join the housing register. In order to register an application you must:

  • live in Lewes District and have done so for the last six months and
  • have a permanent address in the area and
  • be in housing need now
