Housing surveys

The free "Home Owners Maintenance and Environment Service" ("HOMES") is designed to assist home owners and landlords in keeping their properties in good condition.

People contacting the service will be offered a detailed survey of their property, which will not only identify its current condition, but will also pinpoint any problems that may need to be addressed in the future (a roof or wall that will need repairing or repointing in a number of years).

After the results of the survey have been considered, a personalised information pack will be produced, providing impartial advice on many housing issues including:
• The property's condition and the necessary repairs
• How to obtain estimates plus
• General information on how to maintain your property in years to come
