There is a resident Scheme Manager at each scheme. The Scheme Manager is not required to be on site for 24 hours per day and the nature of the duties do not allow this. 24 hour emergency cover is provided. In most instances this is achieved by linking the scheme to a central control point when the Scheme Manager is off site. The Scheme Manager cannot undertake personal care such as helping tenants into and out of bed or toiletting, dressing, feeding, bathing/shaving tenants. Neither is it their responsibility to administer tenants' medication or provide nursing care. The Scheme Manager will provide assistance in a crisis until social service support is in place. In normal circumstances this period should not exceed 48 hours. |
