As stated in our aims and objectives, the Council's ambition is to be a centre of excellence in environmental management and to improve quality of life for our residents.

We aim to do this by:

• Protecting and enhancing the quality of the environment
• Supporting and promoting a diverse and prosperous economy
• Supporting the housing, health and social needs of everyone in our communities
