• Annual Housing Report 2010

  Tenants have helped produce our first Annual Report to all tenants and leaseholders.

  Our fifth tenants' conference received fantastic feedback from all the tenants who attended.

• Housing Estate Walkabouts Actions

  Our Housing officers carry out a series of estate walkabouts in the district to work with our tenants to improve the quality of these areas. Here are the actions recently agreed.

• Tenants’ Incentive to Downsize

  The Tenants Incentive Scheme provides financial assistance to tenants who wish to downsize and move to smaller accommodation.

• Council Rent Rise For 2010

  Council rents will rise by a low 1.12% this year following discussions between the council and our tenants’ committees.

• Tenants’ Mystery Shopping

  Tenants have helped our Housing Department improve their service with a stint of ‘mystery shopping’.

• You Are Unique Update

  Thank you to everyone who completed the tenants’ questionnaire. It helps us to find out how we can tailor our services to suit your needs.

• Tenants’ environmental improvements tour

  Tenants’ groups around the district have been awarded grants to make environmental improvements to their areas.

• Stop housing cheats

  Do you know someone subletting their Council home? We are supporting a Government campaign to blow the whistle on housing cheats.

• Housing newsletter review

  We aim to improve on the format of our housing newsletter to ensure it reports on the issues that are important to you, our tenants.

• Tenants' reading group

  We are interested in recruiting a bank of interested tenants to form a group of readers to look over the publications we produce.
