Supported Housing

Supported Housing is for people who are vulnerable and need support to live independently. We help by offering assistance to those who need it.

Help is offered in two different forms. Floating support moves with you wherever you live. Other support is in specialised supported housing.

A floating support service called Homeworks is provided for anyone aged 16-64.  Support includes help in dealing with benefits, home budgeting, developing social network skills and coping with official correspondence and forms.

Anyone age 65 and over can be helped by a service called STEPS, funded by East Sussex County Council, which provides a free, confidential short-term housing support service. Contact 01323 436414 or email referrals@stepswest.co.uk

We have a dedicated supported housing service for older people.  We have 13 sheltered housing schemes owned and managed by us.

Housing support can be available in different circumstances.

Most housing support is funded by the Supporting People program. It was launched on 1 April 2003. The programme is committed to enabling vulnerable people to live more independently and maintain their housing.
