If you are on a low or fixed income and are liable to pay Council Tax you may be entitled to Council Tax benefit to help pay your Council Tax bill. If you qualify for Council Tax Benefit a reduced Council Tax Bill will be sent to you. Online Services

An application form can be found in the 'Relevant Documents' section of this page. Alternative Council Tax BenefitThis is also known as Second Adult Rebate. You may also get help towards your Council Tax if your income is too high but you share your home with someone other than a partner or a person paying you rent, who is on a low income. You will not be entitled to receive both Council Tax Benefit and Alternative Council Tax Benefit. Your entitlement to each benefit will be calculated and the biggest reduction given to you automatically. If you intend to make a claim for benefit, please register your intent with the Benefits section by telephoning 01273 471600.
