Fume Free Friday

Fume Free FridayFume Free Friday is a co-ordinated day of action in Lewes town which aims to improve air quality, cut congestion and encourage an active and healthy lifestyle.

Fume Free Friday asks people living and working in Lewes to leave the car at home for one day and look for alternative ways to travel.

Lewes town suffers from air pollution and traffic congestion. Through action taken on Fume Free Friday, we can show what's possible by collectively changing our transport choices.

Choose to walk, cycle, go by public transport, or even car share. Your support can make a big impact.

Day Of Action

The next Fume Free Friday will take place on Friday 8th April 2011.

Get Involved

To show your support, you can do one of the following:

  1. Make a pledge to travel in a sustainable way on the day
  2. Visit the street party and turn one day's action into something longer-term.
  3. Spread the word. Tell others to join in too.
