Kerbside Recycling (Box-It!)
The Box It! recycling scheme makes recycling easier by collecting from your doorstep. Each household joining the Box It! scheme is given two black plastic boxes - one large box for plastic bottles, cans and aluminium foil, and one smaller box for paper. You are also given a sturdy bag for glass bottles and jars. We use electric vehicles to collect from properties at their kerbside every fortnight.
We collect paper, plastic bottles, glass bottles and jars (not window glass or heat resistant glass for cooking), cans, clean aluminium foil, textiles, clothes, old rag, boots and shoes, leather items, belts, DVDs, CDs and video tapes, bric-a-brac and small items of scrap metal (e.g. old pans, cutlery etc.). Kerbside Recycling is provided in association with Furniture Now!
