Street CleaningLewes District Council undertakes regular scheduled street cleaning of roads and footpaths within towns and villages in the District. Different areas of the District are cleaned on different frequencies, but as a general rule, the town centres are cleaned every day. It is important to note however, that we do not clean a street that does not need cleaning. The emphasis of the Council is to do our best to keep Lewes District clean. That means that if you report areas (or we find areas) in that have become a problem, we will deal with them rather than sticking to a schedule just because it exists. If you need further information on cleaning in your area please contact Customer Services on 01273 484999. Problems regarding streets, street cleaning, street name plates, pavements, litter bins, signs, pedestrian crossings, traffic signals, verges and street lighting can be reported using the Fault Reporting system below.
Use the external link below to the online Fault Reporting system to report Highway and Street Cleansing Faults within the East Sussex area directly to the responsible Authority. It takes you through the necessary steps to report a fault.
