Local Development Scheme

The first stage in the Local Development Framework process is the preparation of a Local Development Scheme (LDS). This is a document that sets out the programme management for the preparation of the LDF, including documents to be prepared, the time-scale and resources available.

The Secretary of State agreed, in February 2005, that this LDS may take effect.

The LDS has been revised and re-submitted to the Government Office for the South East for approval. Pending legislative changes mean that Government cannot consider approving our draft LDS until September 2008. Our current draft revised LDS is reproduced below.
