South East Planning Aid

South East Planning Aid is a free, voluntary services offering independent professional advice and help on town and country planning. It is aimed at individuals, community groups and other voluntary groups who cannot afford to pay for private consultants. A telephone advice line is staffed by a qualified planner and is available four days a week. South East Planning Aid also operates a community planning service that provides training and education events, as well as helping communities to influence what happens in their area. It can help people to:

• understand and use the planning system,
• be involved in preparing plans,
• develop their own plans for the future of their community,
• comment on planning applications,
• apply for planning permission,
• appeal against a refusal of permission,
• appear at public enquiries.

South East Planning Aid is not part of central or local government but is an independent source of advice and information which complements the assistance given by the council. Please contact:
