In other words, it is directly linked to an adopted policy. All the SPG approved by Lewes District Council has been, in the first instance, published in draft form for consultation with the appropriate bodies/organizations. The draft versions of the SPGs prepared by the District Concil have been available in both printed form and on the web site for a six week consultation period. Following the consultation period the representations received on the drafts have been considered by the Cabinet and a final version of SPG approved as a material consideration when considering planning applications. The following SPG has been approved by the Council. The financial aspects of SPG may be reviewed from time to time. Users are advised to check that they have up to date costs with the Planning Department. Draft Planning Guidance - Going Smoke FreeBelow is a draft planning guidance note on smoking shelters and other features. It covers the Planning implications of the smoke free legislation in the Health Act 2006 which came into force in England at 6am on Sunday 1st July 2007.
Lewes District Council adopted East Sussex County Council's Supplementary Planning Guidance for Parking Standards for development at its Cabinet meeting in April 2003. To view a copy of the document please come in to the Council Offices at Southover House, Southover Road, Lewes or alternatively contact the Transport and Environment department at East Sussex County Council (Switchboard number 01273 481000). See also Development Principles for supplementary planning guidance on sites allocated in the adopted Local Plan. Supplementary Planning DocumentsIn June 2004 the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act (2004) replaced Local Plans with Local Development Frameworks. Subsequently, Lewes District Council now produces Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD) rather than Supplementary Planning Guidance. |
