We know that farm incomes are on the decline and we want to make it easier for farmers to prepare planning applications for diversification schemes, which have a good chance of success. Guidance NoteWe have produced a guidance note to help those farmers and growers who are considering diversifying: Farm diversification a planning guide for farmers in Lewes District. Planning clinicsThe Council has also set up ‘planning clinics‘, which will enable farmers to discuss their ideas. The clinics will be monthly and by appointment only. A planning officer, and if necessary a representative from Business Link, which is part of Sussex Enterprise will be available to listen and offer advice. To book a place a forthcoming clinic please contact the planning department on 01273 484417 or email kate.stevenson@lewes.gov.uk |
