The Lewes District Local Plan was adopted in March 2003 and sets out the current planning strategy for the District. It is under review and will ultimately be replaced by the Local Development Framework.
The first stage in the Local Development Framework process is the preparation of a Local Development Scheme (LDS).
This sets out how, and when, we will undertake consultation in relation to the Local Development Framework process and in determining significant planning applications.
The Core Strategy is the central policy document for the Local Development Framework. It will set out the long term spatial vision for the district.
