Householder Application for Planning Permission

For householders to apply for building works. These forms may only be used for works to individual houses or bungalows, NOT flats. For works to flats use 'Planning Permission Applications'.
There are three versions of the Householder form:
- Householder
- Householder and Listed Building Consent
- Householder and Conservation Area Consent

 Householder Application Form

You may use this form to apply for permission to
- Build an extension
- Convert a loft
- Erect a garage or outbuilding
- Erect a garden wall or fence
- Form a new or altered access onto a main road

Use this form if your property is a Listed Building and you wish to apply for works covered under the Householder Application (see above).

Use this form if you are doing a householder development (as defined above) and demolition of a building within a Conservation Area. Please phone 01273 484420 to confirm if Conservation Area Consent is required.
N.B. Demolition outside of a Conservation Area may require an Application for Prior Notification of Proposed Demolition.

Application for Planning Permission (Other than Householder)

There are now 4 different types of forms to complete depending on the type of planning permission you require (Outline Consent and Reserved Matters are now on separate forms - see below). They are:
- Planning Permission
- Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent
- Planning Permission and Conservation Area Consent
- Planning Permission and Consent to Display Advertisement(s)

 Planning Permission Application Form

Use this form for all full applications to an unlisted building including works to flats, changes of use and renewal of a temporary planning permission

Use this form if you require full planning permission to either alter, extend or demolish a Listed Building

Application for Outline Planning Permission

There are two forms to complete for outline consent depending on whther all or some matters are reserved. They are:
- Outline Planning Permission with All Matters Reserved
- Outline Planning Permission with Some Matters Reserved

To apply for express consent for the display of advertisements. If the building/structure that you wish to attach the advertisement to is listed you will also need to make an application for Listed Building Consent.

Application for a Certificate of Lawfulness For a Proposed Use or Development

 Certificate of Lawfulness for a Proposed Use or Development Application Form

For use when a person wishes to find out whether any proposed use or operations would be lawful and therefore whether any planning permission is needed. If your building is listed you may also need to make a Listed Building Consent Application.

This guidance note give details of the new fees applicable to requests for discharging of conditions and of the requirements of Lewes District Council Planning Department in regards to these requests.
