People & Animals

• Personal Treatment Licence

  Practitioners in acupuncture, ear piercing, electrolysis, and tattooing and the premises they operate in, must be registered by the Council.

• Animal Boarding Licence

  Boarding kennels need to a licence to operate. These are available from us for a fee and are renewable annually.

• Breeding Licence

  A licence is required for keeping a breeding establishment for dogs. We issue them for a fee and last for one year.

• Dangerous & Wild Animals

  Keeping dangerous and wild animals requires a licence issued by us.

• Pet shops

  Business selling animals require a licence issued by us. A fee is charged with the licence renewable annually.

• Riding

  If you let out horses or ponies for hire or provide riding school services you will require a licence under the Riding Establishments Act 1964.
