The Central Rail Corridor Board received the final report of the Network Rail study on Friday 18 July which concluded that, although it is technically feasible, there is currently no economic case for rebuilding the Lewes-Uckfield rail line. No consultation process on the study is taking place. However, if you do have any comments you wish to make on the technical aspects of the study, these may be sent, by Friday 19 September 2008 to: Email: lurs@eastsussex.gov.uk Address: Any comments will be used to help ensure that all appropriate technical aspects have been considered, but no individual responses will be made.
