• Chief Executive

  Our Chief Executive is based at Lewes House and oversees day-to-day operations of the Council and leads the Corporate Management Team.

• Property, Regeneration & Enterprise Department

  We are responsible for property, regeneration, economic development and promoting tourism; art development and for supporting businesses.

• District Services

  We are responsible for waste and recycling services including food waste and kerbside collections, recycling facilities, street cleaning and waste education. We also provide and manage local facilities, including children’s play areas and open spaces.

• Environmental Health

• Finance, Benefits & Taxation

• Internal Services

• Housing Services

  We are responsible for homes owned by the Council in the district. We are responsible for meeting the district’s housing needs by working with a range of statutory and voluntary agencies.

• Legal, Democratic & Communication Services

  We provide legal advice and services to the Council, its councillors and officers. We provide support for committees and councillors, organise elections and electoral registration and communications with residents and the media.
