Civic offices

The Chair is elected by his/her fellow Councillors to the post of Chair in May each year.  For further details of the current Chair and his/her interests, aims and objectives see the Chair of the Council page. 

The Chair of the Council receives many invitations to a great variety of events during his/her year of office. The Chair also hosts civic receptions and chairs meetings of Full Council.  If you are organising an event, ceremony or reception and would like to invite the Chair or would like the Chair to support your organisation/group, please contact the Chairman's secretary Ann Spike (01273 484112) ann.spike@lewes.gov.uk.
