Councillors' Allowances

All councillors receive an annual allowance and are entitled to claim a travel allowance when attending meetings. A dependant carers' allowance is also available if appropriate.

Certain councillors also receive a special allowance, in recognition of the greater responsibilities attached to the position they hold.

We publish all the allowances paid to individual Councillors during the financial years under the Members' Allowances Scheme.
