Council Procurement Lewes District Council currently spends almost £20 million annually on externally procured works, goods and services. Much of this spend is with Small and Medium Sized Enterprises.
Audit Arrangements The Internal Audit service ensures that the Council's internal control environment is operating effectively. Independent external auditors also review our arrangements and performance and summarise their findings in a letter each year.
Health and Safety Policy Through the way we work and behave, Lewes District Council will, so far as is reasonably practicable, take the necessary steps to ensure the Health, Safety and Welfare of all our employees at work.
Lewes District Council’s Health and Safety Profile – Autumn 2016 Recent routine HSE inspections included the Household waste and recycling service and the Parkour (free running obstacle course) in Valley Road.
