This reports some of our achievements over the past year and sets out our programme to improve services over the coming year. We monitor our progress and performance every quarter.
Lewes District Council currently spends approximately £14 million on externally procured works, goods and services. Much of this spend is with Small and Medium sized Enterprises.
Lewes District Council has identified development and regeneration opportunities for up to 48 sites within their ownership across the District. The Council is seeking interest from potential partners to help deliver regeneration and other benefits.
We have an internal environmental management system covering every service.
10:10 is a national campaign aiming to cut carbon by 10% in 2010. Lewes District Council is signed up to this commitment.

The Internal Audit service ensures that the Council's internal control environment is operating effectively. Independent external auditors also review our arrangements and performance and summarise their findings in a letter each year.
Our Property, Regeneration & Enterprise department comprises a range of services including management of our property assets, regeneration, economic development and tourism services.
Through the way we work and behave, Lewes District Council will, so far as is reasonably practicable, take the necessary steps to ensure the Health, Safety and Welfare of all our employees at work.
