Councils and partnerships

• Neighbouring Councils

  There are five borough and district councils in East Sussex who all provide similar services to us for their respective residents.

• Town And Parish Councils

  Across East Sussex, 92 town and parish councils are in Lewes, Rother and Wealden districts, no parishes in Eastbourne and Hastings, and Bexhill has no town council.

• Lewes District Compact

  A compact is an agreement between local public bodies and voluntary groups to improve their relationship for mutual advantage.

• Service partnerships

  We deliver some services in partnership with other organisations in the public, private, voluntary and community sectors.

• Sustainable Community Strategy Consultation

  A joint strategy developed by The Lewes District Local Strategic Partnership to set out a shared vision for the local community.

• Twinning

  Towns and villages within the district are twinned with others on the Continent to bring unison amongst Europe.
