We manage cemeteries in Seaford and Lewes, with Newhaven Town Council managing another within their town. No cremations take place within the district.
We provide a sympathetic and caring cemetery service. Both our cemeteries in Lewes and Seaford are maintained to a high standard with floral displays and shrub borders.
Opening times are from 9am until dusk, 7 days a week, all year round. Bookings for funerals should be arranged either via a Funeral Director, or direct with us via Customer Services.
A "Grant of Exclusive Right of Burial" may be purchased in advance. This is an agreement where the grant holder has the exclusive right to bury in a predetermined plot for a set number of years. This starts at 50 years and is extendable to 75 at time of purchase.
Lewes Cemetery is located off of Rotton Row, Lewes. The site has a small car parking area as well as a chapel and toilet facilities.
There are a number of burial plot sites, including Lawn Cemetery and ashes plots for cremated remains.
Seaford Cemetery is located off of the Alfriston Road in the north west of Seaford. The site offers limited car parking, a chapel and public toilets.
The new section of the cemetery was opened to increase the number of burial plot options available.
