You are here: Home > Community and living > Community Safety > What can you do to help with illegal off-road motorcycle riding? What can you do to help with illegal off-road motorcycle riding? If you are a council tenant, report the matter to your local housing office by calling the main council switchboard (telephone 01273 471600). Also report it to the police on the normal non-emergency number or through the Sussex Police Authority website, http://www.sussexpoliceauthority.gov.uk/. Keep a log of the incidents and if you know the details of the names and addresses of the offenders pass this information on. The police have a number of off-road police motorcycles that are used to deter this anti-social behaviour. They may confiscate bikes and without them until the payment of a fee. If the offenders are council tenants, the council will investigate and if justified, warn the tenant that the continuance of such behaviour could affect the future of their tenancy. |
