Town And Parish Councils
Across East Sussex, 92 town and parish councils are in Lewes, Rother and Wealden districts, no parishes in Eastbourne and Hastings, and Bexhill has no town council.
The services parish and town councils provide are wide and varying depending upon their specific local agreements.
They may include maintenance of allotments, bus shelters, street lighting, war memorials and sports & recreational facilities.
They could provide grants for local projects and organisations, and halls for social clubs and meetings. They may be responsible for local traffic calming measures
