• Snow & Ice Advice

  Information and advice for residents during periods of snow and ice including help available and the organisations who provide each service.

• Flooding in the District

  Significant areas of Lewes District are at risk from flooding. This is managed by the Environment Agency with support from us, with flood defences and policies in place to cope.

• Warnings & Emergency Response

  We work closely with the Environment Agency, emergency services, other local authorities and local communities to help us cope with flooding incidents.

  At times of flooding, we have certain responsibilities to support the response.

  Sandbags are issued under a priority scheme but we advise residents take their own steps to protect their property.
