Premises to let

For companies looking at potential new investment opportunities the Council has let, as ground landlord, long leases to more than 100 business units spread across 6 industrial estates in Lewes, Newhaven and Seaford. Leaseholders generally market their premises availability through local commercial agents who should be the initial point of contact. The Council's Legal Services/Estates Section will deal with any 'Licence to Assign' issues that arise from such marketing.

In partnership with South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) and Basepoint Ltd, the Council has opened a Business Enterprise Centre on Denton Island, Newhaven.  The Centre comprises a development of 45 starter offices and workshops which are let on easy in/easy out terms. Occasionally, the Council will have property available for disposal and these opportunities are advertised in the local press as necessary.
