The importance of the Newhaven-Dieppe link to the local economy has been recognised and an European Economic Interest Group (EEIG) formed. Lewes District Council has joined Dieppe Chamber of Commerce to form the Newhaven-Dieppe Joint Action Group (JAG) which promotes the link as a part of the trans European network. In Seaford, the district council has appointed a Community Manager to co-ordinate the work of all sectors, attract grants and enhance the town.
